Chest & Abdomen

Imaging Expert

Made with licensed FDA-cleared imaging software using actual patient CT scans

Expert.

Radiologists are medical doctors who interpret and coordinate medical imaging such as CT (or CAT) scans, MRI, x-rays, ultrasounds, and nuclear medicine imaging. We are trained in the human body from head-to-toe, babies to elderly, mammograms to brain MRI to foot x-rays to liver CT.

After my radiology residency, I completed two fellowships for subspecialization in ER imaging of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. This has allowed me to become a true expert in the acute diseases, serious infections, emergent cancer complications, and high-grade trauma affecting the torso, such as those listed here.

Experienced in testifying in malpractice and criminal cases, I have educated jury on complex disease processes using a simple relatable approach suited to a lay person. I take ownership over the imaging aspects of your case and will assist with trial demonstratives and 3D printing.

Clinician.

Board-certified in Diagnostic-Radiology, I also have subspecialty fellowship training in both Body Imaging and Emergency Radiology, fully detailed in my CV.

The overwhelming majority of my time is spent not as an expert witness, but as a full-time practicing radiologist. I am employed in one of the largest subspecialty private practice radiologist groups in the country, where I care for mostly ER and ICU patients throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota.

My particular interest is “incidentalomas” or incidental findings found while imaging for another purpose, such as lung nodules and colon masses.

Educator.

Teaching has been a major component of my early career, as I was an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for nearly 8 years. In this role, I taught the subtleties of ER imaging to both radiology and emergency medicine residents, including repeated lectures on Acute Abdominal Pain and Shortness of Breath.
